China Clay Gala Timetable Released
September 9th and 10th
We are excited to release the timetable for our upcoming China Clay Gala! Which will take place on September 9th and 10th, 2023. The intensive timetable covers both Saturday and Sunday, in which you can either buy singular day tickets or a whole weekend ticket. Ticket prices start at just £12.50 and can be purchased online via our ticketing system.

What can you expect to see at the China Clay Gala at Bodmin Railway:
- Three engines in steam, home loco 5552, visiting loco from Peak Rail 5553, and ‘Judy’
- Diesel locomotive appearances over the whole weekend, from our home fleet. Including Class 50 ‘Triumph’ and Class 47 ‘The Sapper’
- Visiting diesel shunter BR 08359
- Brake Van rides
- Clay Wagon rides – brand new for 2023 with seating inside the clay wagons. Enjoy an open top air ride down parts of our line.
