In hard times, we are here to help and can accommodate you! Whether its a small gathering with a hired section of the train or a private hire of the whole station to raise a glass and toast a life, here at Bodmin Railway we can create a intimate and personal event to celebrate the life of your loved one.

We can offer all sorts to help you create a meaningful funeral wake. With our branch line to Bodmin Parkway within close proximity to Glynn Valley Crematorium, our steam engine can give out a dedicated ‘hoot’ whilst passing. Followed by a private hire of our BSK coach which contains 4 compartments and a on-board bar. Or if you wish to experience the full branch line ride and toast afterwards, we have a large car park space in which can be used as a space for your own marquee.

 

 

If it was your loved ones last wish to be sent off with a steam train, please get in touch and we’d be happy to help. We can offer the ashes blown from the engine, with one person standing on the footplate of the engine to place the ashes into the firebox. These events can only occur whilst we are running steam trains on our open operating days. Please see our timetable to find out more about when we are open.
