We are excited to reveal our plans for our Branch Line Gala which will take place during the last weekend of May! 💥 Our ‘Spring Steam’ gala has had a refresh to become the Branch Line Gala. This now accurately reflects this year’s plans. With more offerings than ever before, we’re confident this gala weekend will be the best yet!
➤ Workshop Tours – Have the opportunity to find out what’s inside our workshop, which locos are being overhauled, and all the latest information on our current ongoing projects. Guided workshop tours will be offered throughout both days.
➤ Get up-close to the locos – We will have a number of locomotives on display, in which you will be able to get up-close, take photos, and step on the footplates. On the static display, we will have:
– Beattie Well Tank No. 30587
– Bagnall 0-4-0 Saddle Tank No. 3058 ‘Alfred’
– Bagnall 0-4-0 Saddle Tank No. 2962 ‘No. 19’
– GWR ‘8750’ Class 0-6-0 Pannier Tank No. 4612
➤ Intensive Timetable – Home loco GWR small prairie tank will be hauling our service set. With the BR Class 121 ‘Bubble car’ No. 121020 also offering rides up and down the line. Opportunities to ride behind Bagnall 0-4-0 Saddle Tank No. 2572 ‘Judy’ in a brake van, within station limits but also up and down the line.
➤ Kids Activities – Gala-specific activity sheets will be free to all children who visit over the weekend!
Kids go free for the entire weekend – with free activity sheets too, guaranteed fun for all the family.
