Celebrate with us!
From hen do’s, wedding anniversaries, engagements, to birthday parties, a simple way to travel in style and celebrate is to book one of our Special Occasion Extra’s. From decorated tables or compartments, to our riding with our ‘Happy Birthday’ headboard on the front of the locomotive, we have a number of extra’s to make your celebration trip to Bodmin Railway a little more special.
Inside one of our Vintage Coaches
Ornate interiors, Bakelite, polished wood, the velvety embrace of the seats… Give your gathering the wow factor inside one of our vintage carriages, the perfect all-weather venue for smaller parties. Why not pair our carriages up with entertainment on the platform to suit a larger group? We’ve held everything from film screenings to workshops to wreath making classes in these coaches– so the sky’s your limit when coming up with a plan!
On the station platform
As well as our trains and vintage carriages, the station platform at Bodmin General serves as the perfect alternative venue for all kinds of events.
Imagine the atmosphere; hanging baskets and bunting, the sound of live music mingling with the hiss of a heritage steam engine as the evocative smells of an engine burning coal drift across the 1950’s platform. The Station platform is the perfect venue for a daytime or evening event, from a laid back get-together with your nearest and dearest to a jazzy Great Gatsby affair with cocktails, canapes and sequins in the station!
