Bodmin Railway hosts a popular programme of railway galas throughout the year, celebrating the very best of steam and diesel heritage.
These special events feature intensive timetables, a mix of passenger and goods trains, and the chance to see our home fleet operating at its fullest — with occasional visiting locomotives adding extra interest.
Our Spring Diesel Gala showcases our diesel fleet in action, followed by a Spring/Summer Steam Gala celebrating the return of Austerity saddle tank No. 2766, alongside other members of our steam fleet. Later in the year, our Autumn Diesel Gala offers several days of varied diesel workings, while our Winter Warm Up brings together both steam and diesel locomotives for a lively start to the season.
