Bodmin Railway's Beer Festival

Saturday 14th September

Ft. Tintagel Brewery, Harbour Brewery Co and Bluntrock Brewery

Join us for one last summer hurrah as we host a small-day beer festival with three local Cornish breweries. Purchase a rover & platform ticket for just £25.00 and enjoy your first pint on us, free! Or just come along for the beer, music, and atmosphere and pay only £2.50 for platform entry.

Families are welcome and encouraged to come along with ‘kids going free’ all day! Unfortunately we will not be allowing dogs due to a busier than usual platform. Please note we will be following the Think 25 policy.

Beer tokens will be used in exchange for paid 1/2 or full pints. Tokens can be paid for at the station.

Live music from Joe Hurworth from Newquay will be played throughout the day and in between the train departures. We will have an intensive steam timetable featuring two morning departures to Bodmin Parkway.

Timetable below. Live music will be played between train departures.

A bit about the attending breweries:

Bluntrock Brewery:

“Bluntrock was founded in Rock, Cornwall in 2021 by 24 year old George Collins and 21 year old Hugo Roads. The pair joined forces to bring their newly discovered obsession of quality-focused, US-style pale ales and IPAs to their local area. These beers were making waves in the national craft beer industry, but they couldn’t find access to them in their little pocket of North Cornwall.

In late 2020 the pair sparked their idea at a clifftop bbq in North Cornwall, and not before long, a tiny brewery, taproom and beer garden had been built out of recycled yellow shipping containers! A beautiful, vibrant place for them to share their passion for fresh, diverse styles of beer. Support from local enthusiasts grew the demand for Bluntrock beers, and out flowed countless pale ales, IPAs and other exciting, modern styles of beer.”

Harbour Brewery Co:

Just around the corner from us in Bodmin on a rural farm Harbour Brewery Co matches their “love for the traditional Cornish lifestyle with a dedication to modern brewing techniques, we take the best of what’s at our fingertips, combined with all we’ve learnt through years in the industry. We brew solid, well rounded beers reflecting the ruggedness of their home; with smiles, you’ll never shift.”

Tintagel Brewery:

“Way up on the hills above Tintagel lies Condolden Farm, the highest Farmhouse in Cornwall and the home of Tintagel Brewery. Originally set up in an old and redundant milking parlour, the environmentally friendly brewery is now housed in a state of the art, purpose-built facility. We use pure water from our spring, rising 852 feet above the sea at Trebarwith Strand, and our very own wind turbine, to produce a suite of classic real ales for all of Cornwall to enjoy.”
