EASTER EGGSPRESS

This month we celebrate Easter at the Railway! Our operating days this month vary, due to the Easter bank holiday, which we will indeed be open for! For dates and our operating train times please check out our Timetable and Fares page, HERE.

From April 4th to April 16th we will be running our EASTER EGGSPRESS train. With the purchase of any All-Line or Single Line ticket you can take part in our free Easter trail. Don’t forget to bring pencils and pens for your Easter Eggspress activity sheet and of course, if you manage to complete the trail you can receive an Easter surprise from our gift shop.

If you are joining us on either 9th or 10th of April, you can use the code ‘EASTERFIZZ‘ at the checkout, to receive £2.00 off a Fizz Afternoon Cream Tea Box. Celebrate Easter in style, sit back, relax, enjoy the fizz, oh and don’t forget to look out for the trackside letters for the Easter trail!

Diesel Day – 22nd April

This month we will also host our first Diesel Day of the year! Either our Class 47: 47306 ‘The Sapper’, or our Class 50; 50042 ‘Triumph’ will be providing the motor power and hauling the passenger train service on Saturday 22nd April.

We offer a all-day rover ticket for our Diesel Days which begin at £12.50! Purchase a ticket and ride for as long as you like. The day will follow the same departures times as our Blue Timetable: 10:45, 12:00, 13:35 and 14:50.

Steam Footplate Ride- 25th April

We have ONE more place left on our Steam Footplate Ride, this month, on our 13:35 train departure on 25th April! Our Steam Footplate rides last approx. 1 hour and will consist of a ride on the footplate to Boscarne Junction and back. With a 1 in 37 gradient, you can watch the fireman and steam engine working hard to haul the train up the hill.
