The Bodmin and Wenford Railway is now operating its peak season Lilac timetable. For every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in August there will be seven departures from Bodmin General, compared to the normal four or five. Featuring a mixture of diesel traction and two steam locomotives, the first departure is at 0950 hours to Bodmin Parkway, followed by 1045 to Boscarne Junction, 1150 to Bodmin Parkway, 1255 to Boscarne Junction, 1400 to Bodmin Parkway, 1505 to Boscarne Junction and 1557 to Bodmin Parkway.
All arrivals and departures at Bodmin Parkway are timed to connect with First Great Western or Cross Country mainline services. A buffet service is available on all but the 0950 hours train, and there are the usual catering facilities at the station cafes at Bodmin General and Bodmin Parkway.
