A Level 3 Heat wave...

What would you be doing in this weather...?

Our trusty Firemen & Drivers have been keeping the wheels turning on our Steam Engines here at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway in temperature's of up to 35.c

Not only are the train drivers and fireman In the heat, but also our train crews, guards, ticket inspectors, and buffet staff, who all have to wear black trousers, and a shirt and tie!

We have had several news features on this topic, and visits from Radio St Austell Bay, BBC Radio Cornwall the Cornwall Channel have all hit the news. Most recently BBC Spotlight were here filming today (18/07) for a broadcast this evening.

The pictures show the Bodmin & Wenford Railway Publicity Officer Jimmy James being interviewed by the BBC Camera Crew and the Cornwall Channel Film Crew with General Manager Chris Hart. Pictures thanks to Ben Harding.
