A few things to remember:

  • Tickets are expected to be very popular for this event and space is limited due to our special location. Please book early to avoid missing out.
  • The setting of the railway is an unusual and unique location. Event spaces will include the coaches and carriages, the platform and the station building – so this will include indoor and covered outdoor space. Dress creatively, but appropriately!

Mr B the Gentleman RhymerMr B the Gentleman Rhymer

Mr.B began his Chap-Hop career in the summer of 2007 when he decided to bring elements of his previous incarnations (UK rapper, jump-up breaks producer, banjolele maverick and dandy) together and create a genre.

‘A Piece Of My Mind’, his first ditty was released in Japan on Second Royal Records and its accompanying video and UK tour dates alerted the rest of the world to this new musical form.

Since then he has travelled the world, from Surrey to Osaka, Banstead to Berlin, Middlesborough to Minneapolis, Norway to New York and the Edinburgh Fringe to Glastonbury bringing his beats, rhymes and manners. As well as songs about cricket, pipe smoking, high society and interfering with livestock.

Mr.B has recorded four long players (OG, Original Gentleman; The Tweed Album, Can’t Stop Shan’t Stop and Mr.B’s Christmas Album) as well as one collection of Chappist Acid House (Mr.B The Gentleman Selector’s Acid Ragtime: Chapstep Volume One). He also releases terribly english electronica under the guise of The Major.

His videos have garnered millions of view on YouTube and his media appearances have included Rapping for Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight, playing live on BBC Radio One for Rob Da Bank, Nick Grimshaw and Scott Mills, on Radio Two for Claudia Winkleman and Steve Lamacq, 6Music for Tom Robinson and Shaun Kenaveny and for Zoe Ball on Sky Arts. He was also once the front page of the Wall Street Journal and was described by the Daily Mail as ‘Controversial’. Find out more and have a listen at www.gentlemanrhymer.com.

The Wattingers

The Wattingers

Created in 2008 by Martin Wattinger, The Wattingers are a Cornwall-based three piece act often using synchronized videos in their shows.

The music is simply described as 'Slaughterhouse Blues'. The Wattingers embrace the wild diversity of industrial gothic steamwestern, weirdwest, steampunk and other subcultures that exist and strive against narrow and restrictive definitions. The Wattingers say, “We discriminate against no-one in our slaughtering, you are all equal...” Not for the faint-hearted. Find out more and have a listen online.

The Invisible Men

The Invisible Men

The Invisible Men are a simply splendid Steampunk Indie Rock band, who can boast entirely real reviews such as 'So good I almost kept my trousers on' (the Devonshire Doggers bi-monthly gazetteer) and 'Better than lightning for making you get up and dance!'  (The Frankenstein County Reporter). Join Mr Paul, Mr David, Mr Tim, Mr Richard and Mr Matthew, who together are The Invisible Men. A little bit Steampunk, a great deal rock – Huzzah!  Join The Invisible Men on Facebook.

The Slinky Minsky’s

The Slinky Minsky's

The Slinky Minsky’s are a Caburlesque act based in Cornwall, UK. Originally founded the beautiful Babalicious, back in 2008.

The Slinky Minsky’s mix together the wild style of cabaret with timeless touches of burlesque. The evenings are hosted by Babalicious, who entertains you with her sultry, seductive singing and is joined by her gorgeously talented girls, highly experienced in the art of tease. The whole night is filled with music, dancing and a lot of giggles (burlesque coming from the Italian word ‘burlesco’ meaning ‘jest’).

Cabaret and burlesque are art forms where everyone is embraced, accepted and celebrated and this is what the slinky women are all about, they live for it. They want people to empower their sexy, to be playful and embody their sensual side. At a slinky event people are encouraged to leave their hang ups at the door. Dust off those tail coats, slip into something slinky and celebrate how beautiful we all are.

Now into their 10th year, The Slinky Minsky’s are having a relaunch! Full of energy, power and passion, they are back, they are beautiful and they are bursting to share it all with you. Find out more and have a listen online.
