For a summers evening meal with a difference, whether for a special event, anniversary or just a night out, why not try the Cornish Belle, Our First Class Luxury Dining Train…?

Excellent food and drink, together with a superb, first-class dining service on a steam-hauled train provide a unique and memorable experience. Relax and enjoy your meal whilst the Cornish countryside slips gently by.

The Cornish Belle Dining coaches are beautifully fitted out with wood panelling, table lamps and curtains, bringing back the style of an age gone by on tables for two and four people.

Your choice of meal, with tea/coffee, is served to your table, and our stewards can offer a selection of wines and spirits, locally brewed beers and soft drinks.

All trains depart from Bodmin General Station and make a leisurely 13-mile return trip over the whole line, stopping en route at both Boscarne Junction and Bodmin Parkway. Evening trains depart at 19.00 and return at 21.00.

The fares, inclusive of train travel and meals, for three courses on the Cornish Belle Luxury Evening Dining Trains are £44.50 for adults and £35 for children (under 16). Book online here or call 01208 73555.

To Start

Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraiche Mousse

Celeriac and Watercress Remoulade

Both served with Bruschetta and Peppery leaves

Main Course

Low ‘n’ slow Cornish Pork with baked apple, black pudding and parsnip crisps

Chicken Piccata - lemon infused crusted chicken with a piccata sauce of lemon, capers and shallots.

Wild Mushroom and Thyme Wellington, mixed mushrooms in a cream and thyme sauce encased in buttery puff pastry served with creamy carrot sauce

All the above served with New Cornish Potatoes in Trewithen Butter and a selection of Seasonal Vegetables

Homemade Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake

Prawn Cocktail with Looe Crab

Cornish Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

Both served with crusty artisan breads and Trewithen butter

Main Course

Smoked Cornish Gammon - smoky Gammon served with mustard grain sauce   

Creamy Pesto Chicken with roasted cherry tomatoes - homemade pesto and mascarpone stuffed chicken breast in a granary crumb  

Both served with served with new Cornish potatoes and locally grown vegetables.

Silken Tofu and Spinach Cannelloni - pasta tubes stuffed with silken tofu, fresh spinach and pine nuts with a rich tomato and garlic passata with a hint of nutmeg.

Served with garlic dough and crisp green salad

Dessert

Indulgent Banoffee Pie with whipped Cornish dairy cream and sticky caramel sauce and fudge chunks

Cornish Strawberries served with hand dipped chocolate shortbread and lashings of Trewithen Clotted Cream

29th August Evening Dining Train Menu

To Start

Homemade Looe Fishcakes or Parsnip Rosti cakes with beetroot, leaves and chilli dip

Scotched Quail Egg, black pudding, pickled onions, apple and brown sauce

Main Course

Slow smoked Brisket - Cornish Beef with a spicy dry rub slowly smoked, served with warm hickory smoked piquant sauce, rosemary and garlic crushed Cornish new potatoes and homemade red onion coleslaw

Baked Salmon Provencal - baked fillet of salmon served on a bed of wild rice with a delicious summery Provençal salad

Halloumi and Wild Mushroom stuffed Sweet Peppers - served on a bed of Cous Cous with a crunchy Mediterranean dressed salad

Dessert

Vanilla Pod Panna Cotta with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate sauce
