Arriving by Car?   Take the 11.15 train to Boscarne Junction and walk one of the woodland footpaths in this area either towards Wadebridge or towards Helland, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Bring your bikes (carried free of charge) and cycle along the Camel Trail. Lunch can be obtained at tea rooms or a public house both signposted from Boscarne Junction Station. Catch the 14.18 train from Boscarne and then using your Freedom of the Line ticket to travel to Bodmin Parkway and back to Bodmin General arriving at 15.45.

For a shorter trip Take the 12.30 train to Bodmin Parkway and walk the old carriage drive to Lanhydrock House returning in time for a cup of tea in the award winning Signalbox Cafe at Bodmin Parkway before catching the 15.25 train back to Bodmin General.

Or take the 11.15, 12.30 or 13.50  train from Bodmin General for a round trip of the line returning at 13.20, 14.35 or 15.45 respectively

Arriving by Train?   Our services offer connections with First Great Western and through tickets are available.

Arrive at Bodmin Parkway to catch the 13.00 to Bodmin General for a trip to Boscarne Junction and back then return to Bodmin Parkway at 15.12. (Note: the BWR does not accept any liability when connections cannot be made at Bodmin Parkway)

Arriving by Car?  Take the 10.50 train to Bodmin Parkway and walk the old carriage drive to Lanhydrock House returning in time for a cup of tea in the award winning Signalbox Cafe at Bodmin Parkway before catching the 13.55 train back to Bodmin General and then using your Freedom of the Line ticket to travel to Boscarne Junction and back, returning at 15.18

Or take the 10.50, 12.10, 13.25 or 14.35 trains from Bodmin General for a round trip of the line returning at 12.52, 14,14, 15.18 and 16.30 respectively.

Waiting for a Train?  Across the road from Bodmin General Station is Cornwall’s Regimental Museum recognized as probably the finest Military Museum in the South West of England. Housed in “The Keep” which is a Grade II listed building constructed at the time of the Napoleonic threats, the collection tells the story of the County Regiment from 1702 until the present date. Admission is half price to railway ticket holders. Open all year , Mon - Fri and Bank Holidays 0900-1700 hrs
